"Nice features, bad execution"
Version: Veoh Player 3.2
Pros
Veoh player makes it easy to save Web videos. Despite some enormous drawbacks, it's the easiest to use I've found. It doesn't require much, or any, depending on the person you're talking to, explanation for how to use it.
And it lets you download the stuff on Veoh's Web site.
Also, it's the primo client for uploading full-quality videos. It's certainly a step, quality-wise, above YouTube for posting home movies.
Cons
In ascending order of importance:
1). The player is extremely flaky. In my experience, it doesn't play many downloaded videos. It will download them perfectly, but you'll still need something else to actually watch them.
2). Also, it is a HUGE bandwidth hog. If you try downloading something that doesn't take more than a couple of minutes, it can slow your connection to a crawl. Even when it was purportedly downloading at 1 kb/s, I was unable to check my e-mail. I turned off Veoh, and it wasn't a problem.
3). The response to the bandwidth problem from a staff guy on the Veoh forum: "We know about the issue and we are working to fix it. You can turn off Veoh when you are not using it by clicking on the Veoh icon in the task tray and selecting 'exit.'" That was on version 3.0.1.1181. They ain't fixed it yet.
Bottom line: It has excellent capabilities, but until major issues are resolved, I can't recommend anyone run this program while he/she is trying to do anything else at all.

"Very cool features"
Version: Veoh Player 3.2
Pros
-I can download and save videos from almost any website and watch them later.
-You can also subscribe to feeds so videos are automatically sent to your player.
Cons
-Not a lot of Help or other support within the product, but it is pretty easy to use so not a huge deal.
