Version: VentaFax & Voice 6
"Doesn't work"
Pros: Looks nice. Its SUPPOSED to work with Vista 64 bit. At least that is what was advertised.
Cons: Too hard to figure out. Will not work with my computer. I have a HP pavillion laptop brand new with Vista 64 bit..
Summary: I like that I can use it free before I pay for it and then find out it will not work for me. I have had this trial for 8 weeks and can't get it to work. I chose it because it seemed to be the only one I could find that was compatible with Vista 64 bit. I bought a compatible modem for my computer but Venta keeps telling me it is not voice capable when I know in fact it is. It is the only external modem for vista 64 bit and is voice and fax capable. When you try to find support they do not have an 800 toll free number and so you are stuck with email for support. That never works as they don't know what you are explaining and then there instructions they send back are just too confusing. It never answers my calls. Today I got a fax and had to receive it manually. The modem manufacturer told me that perhaps it is not compatibel with their modem. Well, if it doesn't work with this modem and my modem works with 64 bit then what program will work. I have not found any other software or modem that will.
