"could not get it to work when cousin sent VeMail"
Version: Vemail 2.04
Pros
Nice idea if it worked
Cons
Could not get it to work when a cousin sent me a file about some family pictures. I even got her to send it to my Google account figuring it would be able to open it but NO luck there.
Summary
IT failed to function as it was supposed to, well actually opening would have been a start. But main thing is you need a place for people trying to ope the file to get help.
I still have that email and if you have any ideas that would be nice
harmony@copper-tree.ce if you have a clue what could be wrong.

"It works!"
Version: Vemail 1.0
Summary
It works well although there are some installation problems if your op sys is not C: but it can easily overcome by an experience user (or your mother-in-law :)
Clear voice recording, moderate file size, no $$$ so we should be thankful to the developer. An excellent alternative for typing especially longer msgs. With some difficulties, but I have managed to get a technical advice. Click on the "Vemail" label to get into "SETTINGS" otherwise you may be frustrated like me. I am going to use it and will advise my friends to install it on their computers. -
"Service and company's response to help requests are non-existent!"
Version: Vemail 1.0
Summary
The Swift Sound download web site had problems while purchasing and registering software and charged me for a Silver service contract of $8.00. I contacted Swift Sound about this and after several attempts and threats they contacted me one week later to tell me that because the service contract was elected during my registration whether accidentally or not they were not going to adjust the charges to my credit card even after the threats of submitting my negative rating to Download.com. If this company does not care about their own reputation how much less do they care about your needs? And of course, that's just the attitude I got from them!
I would not recommend any product from Swift Sound based on their hard nose attitude towards their customers. I disputed the charges with my credit card company and they credited my card the $8.00.
You also have to rely on the company staying in business as every time you install or re-install their software, you need to re-register the software at their web site to get an up to date product key. If you don't do this, you will not be able to install and run their software.
And whoever heard of a service contract for a software program? I think they call it Help Files!
