The average car owner often has trouble keeping up with basic maintenance, so it goes without saying that managing an entire fleet of vehicles is no easy task. Vehicle Manager Fleet Network Edition is a simple way to track vehicle and fuel use, maintenance and repairs, expenses, and more. Best of all, this version of the program makes it easy to set up a network so that the same database can be shared between multiple computers.
Vehicle Manager Fleet has a well-designed, intuitive interface, with large graphic buttons that represent its main features. We found it quite easy to add new vehicles and personnel, schedule maintenance, record fuel usage, and manage our inventory of parts. The program is very easy to navigate, and even users who aren't particularly computer savvy should be able to catch on quickly. Despite its simplicity, the program has plenty of features, and we especially liked its report feature; this allows users to run 17 different reports, showing everything from fuel log details to service reminders. The thing that sets this edition of Vehicle Manager Fleet apart from the others, however, is its networking capabilities; it's surprisingly easy to set up a server and link other computers to the Vehicle Manager Fleet database, provided your computers are already networked. The program's built-in Help file is well-written and thorough, and we were especially pleased that it provided good instructions for network setup. Overall, we think that Vehicle Manager Fleet Network Edition is a great choice for users who need to give multiple people access to the fleet management database.

Vehicle Manager 2012 tracks your vehicle maintenance, expenses, parts, vendors, contacts, and service reminders. Share the data with multiple users using a central database. This Fleet Edition that supports network support can be used with a remote Firebird database server. Vehicle Manager Fleet provides vehicle and fleet owners a central database for storing information about scheduled and completed maintenance, parts, expenses, vendors, and fuel usage.
Service schedules may be created one service item at a time, or if you prefer, you may save a group of service items as a template, and apply the template to one or more vehicles. Service items may then be added or removed from individual vehicle schedules if needed for special cases. A reminder window will open when the program starts up if you have any upcoming or overdue service.
What's new in this version: Version 2.0.1137 adds constraint to prevent null file data from being saved as an attachment.

"Pretty Good... But"

Pros
It is very simple to use, and doesn't take long to setup. Great program for people that are still new to using computers.
Cons
In the free trial version, you cannot save Maintenance Services, and because of that, you cannot print or preview reports. I am working for a company with (right now) over 80 vehicles. Most are Bobcats/John Deere's and 18-wheelers. So I need a program that can do everything I want. But I have to buy it to see...
