"The best VBScript editor that I've used, wish I'd found it before"
Version: VbsEdit 3.3.9
Pros
After years of coding in various editors such as Notepad and MS Script Editor, this is the best vbs editor I've used - with excellent in-line debugging and great object reference lists. Wish I'd found it before.

"Known problems. Not as advertised. Won't respond to emails"

Summary
I do a lot of debugging and the feature where it will evaluate variables when you mouse over appealed most to me. After I bought the program I thought this would be fully functional. WRONG! About half the time it will mouse over and the other half nothing. The quickwatch (lists all variables and their values) function is only partially functional also. When I cannot mouse over the quickwatch is empty so I cannot see any variables or values. I find myself having to do wscript.echo s most of the time. This is the primary reason I bought the program and it doesnÂ’t work. The program usually works fine for simple scripts but for more complex ones (80 lines or more) I get this all the time. After working with technical support (when they would still return my emails) they said it was a known problem and there was no fix. They said that it would be fixed in version 3 and to wait till Friday. That was a month ago and they STILL have not given me anything. I have sent numerous email since and they WILL NOT RESPOND. Support STINKS. All 5 of our developers experience this on a variety of systems. Tried reinstalling, tried installing on a system that never had the demo, tried reformatting, all to no avail. Why was this recommend by so many people I donÂ’t know. Maybe I am the only person in the world that makes scripts more than 100 lines. I know this is an inexpensive piece of software but if they advertise this feature on their homepage I feel it should work. BUYER BEWARE!
