Version: VSO ConvertXtoDVD 3.0.0.1
"The only one that did the job ! (how is that even possible ???)"
Pros: All I wanted to do was make a DVD from my collection of Mpegs, AVI and other short movies in one take. No separate converting and all that ****. Straight converting and burning all at once and a nice DVD as result. I think I tried EVERY program suggested by this site, none of them could do the job exept this one. Always errors, freezes, etc. I got very bored with it.I didn't mind paying for the software. Luckily I used evaluation versions first. This program too had some problems until I installed the latest update, then everything went perfect.
Very nice is the menu you can create on your DVD.

Version: VSO ConvertXtoDVD 3.0.0.1
Pros: I was using version 2 since a few months, and I like a lot the new version 3, it is optimized for my new Quad Core and the conversion is faster than before but with the same excellent quality. I like the new DVD menu , they look great too

"Cannot handle VR_MOVIE.VRO (DVD-RAM) files"
Cons: Yet again claiming support for "most formats" but cannot handle VR_MOVIE.VRO (DVD-RAM) files from a major (Panasonic DVD recorders) player.
