"A Really Great Product"
Version: VLC Media Player 0.8.4a
Pros
I've got a really simple system that is used as a Personal Video Recorder. It does hardware encoding/decoding to capture television. The Duron 933 mhz, 512 meg ram and Geforce MX 440 video card are adequate for this. However, if I try and play a TV program or ripped DVD with software, the system is totally inadequate, until now. The VLC Media Player has been able to play a Divx file flawlessly on this system. Nothing else worked, this did.
Cons
I haven't tried this enough to see any negatives. However, even if I did, the fact that it works with so little system resources says it all for me.

"Best Media Player there is!"
Version: VLC Media Player 0.8.4a
Pros
VLC was able to play all the movie files i have downloaded! Windows Media Player and Winamp crashed as soon as I open a particular movie but VLC played it perfectly! Audio and video gets 10/10 from me. This is my default movie player!
Cons
Only downside I can see is the lack of capability to change the video aspect rate. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

"Plays Nero Digital Files!"
Version: VLC Media Player 0.8.4a
Pros
Support for Nero digital MP4, WMV, MPEG, MPEG2 and AVI file formats
It's free
Cons
When opening a file with japanese characters caused errors in the open box, wouldn't open file, have to rename, and wouldn't let me open another file till I entered wildcards (*.*).

"Great player, but confusing with options"
Version: VLC Media Player 0.8.4a
Pros
This media player plays every video type ever known. It plays them fast and doesn't skip any frames as Windows Media Player does at times.
It also has many features to look for. A screenshot features with a background feature and many more.
Has a small download, easy instal, definitely recommended for a try
Cons
Although it had a few features to it, they were confusing. For instance the screenshot command, I had no clue where to get that screenshot once I took it.

"Need more input from reviewers!!! Please!!!"
Version: VLC Media Player 0.8.4a
Pros
I may be trying it after a little more investigating. Now if you reviewers can say something about its filing or saving capabilities or how it works with video files that are in parts and maybe its downloading or viewing ability from web sites
Cons
The reviews are basic. Can't people be a little more original and offer different aspects of the product. To agree with another review is ok but much more other info can be very useful too! Now this pertains to all products in review not just this item. TY
