"A must-have player, beats the rest"
Version: VLC Media Player 2.0.3
Pros
1. Plays many, many files
2. Fast
3. Does not "strain" your computer when you use it (it is a small program)
4. Subtitles are supported
5. Simple to useCons
1.Have to remember to manually check for updates, as (for those who like foreign films or anime) some .flv files will give you a green screen if you don't update the player.
Summary
Seriously, best media player ever. I ditched all my other players. Plays almost all formats. Never crashed and very reliable. I highly recommend using this program.

Very Useful Player, Free, Lightweight, Plays Many Formats, But I Can't Say Its A Standalone Player... Coz It Can't Run Many Formats That JetAudio Can... Try JetAudio 8.0.14

"Great program"
Version: VLC Media Player 2.0.3
Pros
The user interface is logical and to the point, the program works very well. It is usually one of the programs I first install - it is capable of working with many different file types.
Cons
It does tend to crash once in a while.
-
"Great Video Player!"
Version: VLC Media Player 2.0.3
Pros
I use it all the time to watch videos. It's stable and accepts all video file types.
Cons
It looks like it's still 1999. They need to make it more beautiful.
Summary
Works perfect, but looks not so ideal

"Bad Distortion on High Volumes"
Version: VLC Media Player 2.0.3
Pros
-Plays everything
-Small
-Android remote controll available, just controll your volume from your phone, change songs. It is very nice!Cons
The Volume over 100% does have a big distortion, wouldn't be bad if you could just disable it. But to set the voulme to 100% you need to click around for seconds to hit it...
So this player makes the most basic thing in my gaming day a real pain... -
""Pure Excellence""
Version: VLC Media Player 2.0.3
Pros
Unmatched versatility and customization, this program can do so much more than play media. One of my favorite features is using VLC media player combined with the VLC Remote mobile app (available for Android, iPhone, and more) which allows me to use my cellphone as a remote to control media when I'm watching movies or listening to music around the house.
Cons
Some of the customizations for this program are slightly complex for a novice user but there are detailed guides online to follow if you are feeling adventurous.
Summary
I highly recommend this program.
