This is a fantastic and easy program to use. I have ran about 6 different types of media files through this (video and audio) and it played everything no problem!

I originally used it as my normal media player, but it's gotten too bloated so I've switched to a different player and use this one as the backup because it plays everything.

I like the menu that keeps track of the things I have watched, but every time I quit VLC it erases everything from my menu and I wish that they would stay put.
Cons
Ever since the new update, when I click the forward button to fast forward my television program or movie, it now only forwards in 3 second increments instead of 10 second increments. Nothing would make me happier for it to go back to 10 second increments. Also now when I use the forward button outside of fullscreen, it skips either to the last movie or television show I watched causing me to have to relaunch whatever I was watching, which can be frustrating.
Summary
I've always been real happy with the the way that VLC functions, but this last update has made me wish I hadn't updated.

It doesn't down my system or video playback like other video players I've tried.
Opens up videos very fast.

Needed a player for flv files and it worked well for that. And it looks good.

Also needed it to play mp4, but it didn't play an mp4 I had.
