Pros
So far no problems. I put this with avi files on disks that i give to friends since windows media player has so much trouble with them. I also keep it on my thumb drive. Sweet.

Everything, Is extremelly lightweight, is portalbe (is for linux too), No need for codecs (including FLV), very simple, Playes everything, avi, ogm, mkv, vob, dvds (with menus), vcds, multiple audio channels, video channels, and subtitles channels. Highly configurable, and skinnable.

i couldn't find anyone.

Pros
Tried with a non-administrator ID with a Jump Drive to view a personized DVD with no problem. (No need for installation)

VLC Is that nice little media player that can play almost every videofile known to man. So what if your friend doesn't have it? No problem! you can bring this handy little program where-ever you go on your USB thumbdrive. That is the appeal of this product

(The current version 8.5 is available on the author's site)
Well.. Its still ugly, and always will be ugly. but its whats on the inside that counts
