From VIA Technologies :This driver, also known as Vinyl AudioCodec, supports all VIA southbridges with integrated sound, including VT8231/VT82C686A/VT82C686B, VT8233/VT8233A/VT8233C/VT8235/VT8237/VT8287. This driver supports the VIA Six-TRAC (VT1616 Codec). The VIA Stylus driver for the Six-TRAC Codec integrates Sensaura technology realizing a new level of audio performance and functionality. This driver supports DOS sound for VIA VT82C686A/VT82C686B/VT8231 southbridges only. Version 6.70b may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Note: VIA advises that whenever possible, users should install onboard sound drivers provided by their motherboard manufacturer.

"Excellent sound - good control interface"
Pros: Lots of options, easily accessible through very functional GUI. Phenomenal sound quality - comparable with dedicated multichannel sound-cards.
Cons: Rather silly "ghetto blaster" style graphics on the GUI. Doesn't hurt the functionality one bit, but why go to the trouble of making such a silly faux-funky design?

"donwt work well , too much bugs ,skin=0"
Cons: the driver with or without skin tak away all windows effect, when you test sound by the deafault icon of XP you get only PC speakers noise.
the software put allways the front mic in use , even if you don't have this futeur so each time you want to use a voip, you have to check it out!
