"BELONGS IN THE TRASH CAN"
Version: VDownloader 3.9.1326
Pros
My anti-virus caught it quick
Cons
The minute it was installed my anti-virus said "Threat Clear". In addition, I said NO OTHER SOFTWARE THAN THIS ONE and I was quick to watch it that I don't accidentaly agree to any other software and 12 pieces of software popped on my "all installations screen".
Summary
It's another one of those things where you wish you never knew existed!

"Doesn't Work!"
Version: VDownloader 3.9.1195
Pros
No pros found.
Cons
Puts cookies all over your computer which do things like try and open the program up on boot up and loads of boxes you have to untick on installation or you'll find toolbars and games all over your computer.
Does NOT download from DailyMotion as claimed!Summary
Rubbish software that should never have been developed. What a waste of an hour!

"One of the best video downloaders!!"
Version: VDownloader 3.3.833
Pros
1. It's easy to use and you don't need a tutorial to make it work.
2. You can download a lot of videos at the same time.
3. Download speed is one of the fastest.Cons
1. Experienced issues when trying to minimize it. (i.e. The window disappears completely and cannot be found anywhere. Relaunching is disabled afterwards.)
2. The video is not completely ready even if it is 100% downloaded, but the pending time is not given.Summary
Overall, it is a satisfacting downloader tool similar to Keepvid, but with more functions and a neat interface. The application would be even better if the cons are enhanced.

"no youtube downloads."
Version: VDownloader 3.9.1195
Pros
test downloads provided in menu worked for three of seven. No youtube.
Cons
Did not work on current youtube, auto or manual. Repeated video parsing error reported. Help menu takes you to "Free YouTube Downloader" help site with no mention of this product. So I tried "Free YouTube Downloader" - very basic with few features but it does work.
Summary
Just go elsewhere.

"Once upon a time I found a Trojan on my pc..."
Version: VDownloader 3.9.1195
Pros
I guess, pros are my anti-virus picked up on it before I got infected? This isn't really a feel good story to be honest
Cons
My anti-virus notified me of a trojan during installation of VDownloader, I downloaded the program from: http://vdownloader.com/
Summary
The moral of the story is, remember to keep your anti-virus updated, you never know when you might need it. And they all lived happily ever after.

-
"Did not work"
Version: VDownloader 3.9.1195
Pros
None none none
Cons
This product simply did not work. Win Vista 32-bit.
-
"Works well"
Version: VDownloader 3.9.178
Pros
Does what says. The addition of the Search feature is a bonus.
Cons
None so far.
Summary
I've tried half a dozen video downloaders from CNET, and this is the ONLY one that (a) works and (b) isn't some reduced-feature trial. A pleasure to use.

"VDownloader does not work for me any more"
Version: VDownloader 3.6.943
Pros
None ... does not work wit Windows 7
Cons
1.Does not convert to AVI format that enables to upload to Photobucket where my videos are stored.
2. I keep getting Error when saving to my hard drive ..it's not compatible with Windows 7.Summary
Personally for me it's unusable now due to the above reasons.
Deleted from my computer. -
"Works GREAT on XP!"
Version: VDownloader 3.6.943
Pros
Does exactly what it says... you just need to UNcheck all the added software and toolbars they want to install (that's a no-brainer) and in this way, you are ONLY installing the vdownloader software and nothing else.
Cons
None so far! Works GREAT, FAST, and totally organized.
Summary
Super easy, quick, go to YouTube, find your favorite video, ALT-TAB to Vdownloader and URL is already pre-populated in search bar, hit DOWNLOAD, wait 1 minute, file is saved to whatever folder you specify. Done!
