"Put your computer to real use!"
Pros: Excellent use of computer cycles doing cancer research! Need I say more?
Come on - everyone needs to be part of this - I don't think anyone here doesn't know someone affected by cancer.
Check it out for yourself - at grid.org
Cons: only problem I've seen is every once in a while there's a downtime on the server - but, that's to be expected.

"Spread the word. Installed on 12 machines for 3+ years, No Problems"
Pros: This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to the medical and molecular sciences, (etc). The program has NEVER caused any problem. Very well behaved, and it, at least for me, gives one a sense of contributing and helping.
Cons: You are not running it yet.
