"helps us klutzes know when we've accidentally unplugged"
Version: UnPlugged 1.8
Pros
minimally intrusive - does exactly what it says it does
Cons
I want a preference to tell me ONLY when I have unplugged - not also when I've plugged back in, which is nearly always an intentional act.

"Does what its supposed, perfectly"
Version: UnPlugged 1.8
Pros
- Displays part transparent popup when battery has dropped below your preset
- Tells you when power unplugged and on battery power, and when plugged in again
- Uses pretty much no resources, and is situated as a preference pane, not an applicationCons
Can take a couple seconds to let you know power has been disconnected, but is in sync with when the Mac battery display on the top says unplugged

I also realized that it gives you a notification when the battery drops to 90%, 75%, etc. Just thought I'd add that -
"Useful little utility"
Version: UnPlugged 1.4.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a useful little utility for those using portable Macs. version 1.4 and 1.4.1 had installation problems but these seem to have been fixed in 1.4.2.
Growl support is very useful, as Growl itself has configurable alerts. The sensing of plugging/unplugging is very swift and this new version van even give you alerts as your battery charge drops (user configurable) so it'll let you k ow how things are going battery-wise.
It's free, does what it says on the tin and uses almost nothing in the way of CPU cycles. I've tried a few of the other utils that do what UnPlugged does but they don't seem to do it as well.
I've put in a feature request for optional audible alerts on unplugging and apparently it may be in the next major release. Responsive developer, which is good.
