Highly versatile and especially proficient with boot discs, UltraISO Premium creates, edits, and burns disc images in several popular formats: ISO, BIN, Nero, Alcohol, CloneCD, and Xbox. It also converts images among formats. UltraISO supports data and audio/video discs and includes a simple MP3 encoder, but it really excels at creating bootable discs. It even can create a disc with a menu for booting several OSs.
The interface is well organized, though rather plain, and we wish its icons were more readable. Also on the negative side, the program can't mount CD images, which will diminish its value for some. However, if you need support for multiple image formats and want to design bootable discs, UltraISO makes a very good pick.

"The disk's I burned would not play in a dvd player"

This was my first time to put downloaded movies on dvd. I thought everything was going fine but my dvd's would not play in the dvd player. I paied 30 bucks for this:(

Testing the trial to add 1 simple file to the ISO. Having found and added the file, I burned the ISO as a booting CD. (Win98)
However the file on the CD was NEVER EVER ADDED. FAIL. BIG FAIL. This trial is supposed to give you a 300 Megabyte freedom.Summary
FAILED when testing the trial. File was not added, despite it looked like it was coming along, when editing ISO. FAILED trial testing.

It works every time, to make DVD's that I can re-burn to New Media. I can also depend on this to Create Custom DVD's that I can work with.

"Malware warning! PUP Alert!"

UltraISO worked well for me, and I would have given it 3.5 stars, but soon after downloading it an Avast anti-virus boot scan found the following infected file: "cnet2_uiso9_pe_exe.exe|>[UPX] is infected by Win32:InstallCore-AM [PUP]".
Cons
Evidently the CNET download of UltraISO included some malware known as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) that may have tried to install the Blekko toolbar, an option that I declined when I installed UltraISO. So now you have been warned!

It not only creates an ISO image crom a disk, that can be written back to disk, but it even "decompresses" the image and allows access to individual files withing the image.

I rarely Cary CD's or DVD's with me anymore. I create ISO's and do Installations from Virtual Drives. Great tool for Installers.
