This freeware application helps you track and manage slot car races and build your own race tracks, but using some its features may send even the more experienced user to the Help file.

Ultimate Racer 3.0's interface appears somewhat amateurish and crowded, but the comprehensive user manual helps ease the learning curve. The program includes two main features: a race track editor, and a database to manage cars, courses, and tournaments. You can build your own courses (though it takes some time to adjust to the numerous controls) and easily add, edit, and manage cars and drivers. The program includes helpful libraries to choose tournaments and cars, which makes data entry easier. Ultimate Racer 3.0 includes a number of reports, but creating them proved to be a bit tricky, and we recommend a thorough read of the user guide before getting started.

This application is free of charge and packed with features to please even the most avid slot car enthusiast, but those with some database experience will benefit most from Ultimate Racer 3.0.
