Version: Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus
Pros: Not an upgrade. It is a new program for which there is a price.
Cons: Cannot uninstall the Windows installer pop up for the program.

"They dropped the ball even more then before."
Pros: Back when Ulead first started to make their product is was a fair program. I have a few copys around. Then when this other company picked it up and Intervideo copy both were good products until the take over.
Cons: After the take over the price has went out of sight and the junk went down hill.
Summary: Product is no where close to the price they want for it. When Corel understands they can not be MS and rule the world they have to play with the people that make free software that is a sgood or better then what they want a $100 for. I still have Ule... read more

"It doesn't work with AVCHD format. Free SE version does"
Pros: Cannot try because of video format
Cons: If you have to deal with new AVCHD format simply it doesn't work.
Summary: It is very frustrating. MovieFactory SE version seems OK with AVCHD format but, of course, it hasn't all the features of version 6 Plus.
I wander why Corel didn't consider the new AVCHD format in its top product. read more -

"don't use the free trial...."
Pros: no pros as couldn't use, don't download trial as it doesn't work...
Cons: i downloaded and installed, went to burn a movie but said there were no dvd burners installed i.e no dvd writers when in fact i have one installed and have been using...
Summary: i would not waste money on a product that has a free trial that can't be used. interface is nice and easy, easy to set up and use but didn't work for me so have uninstalled and won't be downloading again.

"Installation of the trial version disabled DVD and CD."
Pros: Standard DVD software with all the expected features. Claims to have audiobook burning specific functionality (Audio DVD with menus).
Cons: Without DVD/CD burning capability, I tried testing the software features (i.e. create an audiobook profile before actually burning). The program would not permit this without full burning capabilities on the system - which the installation broke.
Summary: After installing on XP, both the DVD and CD drives vanished and in Device Manager showed error icons on the drives. Searched on-line for the error code for a repair which required editing the registry to restore functionality. The headache wasn't w... read more
