"Great utility!"
Version: TypeIt4Me 3.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
There are more details about the updates in the README file that is included in the disk image, including a minor upgrade fee if you didn't register recently (after July 1, 2006, so that is $9 that I'll be sending in, since I registered about 5 years ago).
TypeIt4Me is great! I've used this for a long time, and it makes life much easier. Helps you type large quantities of text with just a few keystrokes, auto-corrects your own common typing errors anywhere you can type (not just in MS Word, or whatever). -
"Awesome App!"
Version: TypeIt4Me 3.1.1
Summary

This should be built in to the OS, absolutely indispensible once you start using it, and I do 100 times a day. -
"great program!!!"
Version: TypeIt4Me 3.0.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have used TypeIt4Me for a long, long time, since the early days of OS 9. (I don't remember whether I had it during System 7 and 8 days...)
There was a time in the early versions of OS X that it would not work for me, and the developer, Ricardo Ettore, was very responsive in trying to figure out the problem. I have been using ver. 3.0 for quite some time now, currently on an Intel MacBook. There was one little bug, adding spaces after some of the entries, that I see has now been fixed in ver. 3.1. I am *very* happy to see that this was fixed, since I was just about to e-mail the developer about it -- so I am writing this very positive review instead!!
It's a great program, folks! Use and enjoy!!! -
"Sluggish command-tab"
Version: TypeIt4Me 3.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I like typeit4me, but I can't really use it because, when it's running, the system responds to the command-tab (to switch apps) too slowly. The slight delay between invoking command-tab and the app actually switching is driving me crazy. And I use command-tab constantly during the day. So I will say typeit4me is a great little tool, but I can't use it until (unless) this issue is fixed. (I've found that TextExpander doesn't have this problem.) -
"Postive evaluation of v. 3.0"
Version: TypeIt4Me 3.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This latest version of TypeIt4Me is quite an improvement over the previous versions as it now is a PrefPane and sports an elegant and powerful UI. Hot keys allow one-touch access to its features and the abbreviation entry process is easy and intuitive. I have used SpellCatcher, Typinator, et al. to make expansions and T4M certainly is superior. The ability to print out your expansion list easily (not available in prior versions) is quite useful. The product is not perfect (few are) and some glitches still exist, notably with simultaneous use of CopyPaste (although I've not personally experienced this) and with unexpected untriggered expansions if certain delimiter choices are made. A solution for this latter glitch was developed almost in real time through email correspondence between the developer and myself, an example of strong, immediate support that is rare these days.
I highly recommend the product, now. It will only get better in the future. -
"A great time saver!"
Version: TypeIt4Me 3.0b24
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I use TypeIt4Me X as a programming aid. It saves countless hours of typing in repetitive lines of code. In fact, TypeIt4Me can enter entire code sections by simply typing a few characters. Another great feature is the ability to load different clipping sets for different uses. Example: a clipping set designed for programming would not be particularly useful when used with an email program. Simply open the application (now a convenient preference pane) and choose a new set. The newly chosen set is immediately available. Simple.
The attention to detail, ease of use and time saving potential, make this a must-have application. I thoroughly recommend it!

"Me too!"
Version: TypeIt4Me 3.0b24
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have to add my kudos. I've been using TypeIt4Me since OS 9 and before. I like the change to a system preference/background application. I also use SpellCatcher, but its shorthand expansion is a bit flaky. So now I can turn it off in SpellCatcher and use TypeIt4Me for shorthand expansion without having to switch between them in the Input menu. -
"Better than ever"

Thanks Riccardo. TypeIt4Me X is much easier to use. The low upgrade cost is welcomed too.
No interference with clipboard either. -

Downloaded, installed, tried, and purchased. Ver. 3 is terrific! Thank you. Excellent software. -
"The best gets better"
Version: TypeIt4Me 2.3
Summary

Now, with the Import feature, the final piece to this already great software is in place. Works exactly as advertised, is easily customized and is not a bloated system hog. Clean, lean and more than worth the shareware fee.
