Twisty Text is a thoughtfully designed letter-arrangement game with an inventive interface that encourages experimentation and fast-paced play. As with similar games in this genre, Twisty Text challenges you to find as many words as you can from a set number of letters (five, six, or seven) before a timer runs out. What makes Twisty Text so novel is how its interface makes such effective use of the touch screen: you can quickly drag letters back and forth to form words, and then swipe to underline every new guess. You can also press a button (or shake your device) to reshuffle the letters. Combined with the game's short rounds and satisfying feedback for successful guesses, Twisty Text should prove addictive for fans of the genre--and the ability to change the timer duration (with higher bonuses for shorter rounds, or no bonus for unlimited time) adds another layer of strategy for players trying to build a high score. Twisty Text also lets you share your accomplishments on your Facebook wall.
With its smart design and pick-up-and-play appeal, Twisty Text is a must for fans of this genre. You can also download Twisty Text Lite to try the game for free, but you'll need to get the paid version if you want the adjustable timer, five- and seven-letter puzzles, Global and Friends high-score lists, and additional achievements and backgrounds.
