This simple app easily implements a few common Windows tweaks and a few dozen Pocket PC tweaks. Tweaks2K2 .NET PC Edition's multitabbed interface is filled with simple check-box-enabled tweaks. There isn't a Help file or tooltips to explain the ramifications of any of the tweaks, but the majority are self-explanatory.
There are less than two dozen Windows tweaks in this utility. Of that small number, most are found in freeware tweak packages or are easily enabled elsewhere. On the Windows side, the tweaks primarily concern simple security functions. Most merely remove tabs, or hide select configuration pages. The Pocket PC tweaks are more numerous and less common. They are also presented without detailed explanation, but most users will understand the tweak's purpose. The majority of tweaks for either system require machine reboot. Removing a tweak is as simple as deselecting the item's check box. However, there is no method to store or recall tweak configurations.
The unregistered version of this utility presents a splash nag screen each time a tab is opened. Tweaks2K2 .NET PC Edition's short three-day demo gives experienced users more than enough time to test the app. Novice users should look for an app with better documentation.
