Turnitin provides access to all the functions of an instructor Turnitin account on an iPad, including grading, commenting, and originality check. To use this app, you'll have to have or create a Turnitin account and purchase a license.
Diverse feedback: Turnitin offers many different options for making notes and corrections, and for offering feedback on students' work. There are QuickMarks for frequently-used items such as weak transitions, commonly confused words, and repetitive sections. Voice memos are also an option, and there is a grading rubric that you can use if you choose.
Free demo: This is powerful software, and to get a quote on a purchase price, you'll have to discuss your needs with a customer service rep. But if you just want to see what the program offers, and if you're interested in buying it, there is a fully interactive demo that you can try.
Originality report: Turnitin makes spotting plagiarism easier than ever with its Originality Report feature, which automatically compares text to Internet sources and provides you with a percent match as well as highlighted sections to show duplicate content.
Limited iPad options: At the moment, only the instructor view is available on the iPad. While students can submit their work and complete the peer review process through Turnitin's online service, they can't use the iPad app yet.
This is a great product, and the free demo gives you the opportunity to see if it will work for you before you have to commit to a purchase. That being the case, there's really no reason not to check out this app.
