"Mislabeled TONS (AKA Elton John ? Beastie Boys)"

    July 05, 2014   |   By oddtraveler

    Version: TuneUp 2.4.8

ummmm.... some of the mislabeling is so bad it's kinda funny?

    - Mislabels music
    - changes the file names so once it's mislabeled you many never find it unless you go through all of your thousands of songs.
    - takes songs that came straight off the CD and wants to relabel them as parts of compilations.
    - tries to label different songs as the same track on a CD that you don't have the hard copy for, so BEWARE.

Truly, I should not have to use Shazam to find out what the song really is. Elton John's Benny and the Jets sounds nothing like Beastie Boys' No Sleep 'til Brooklyn. Ludacris does not sound like the chapter of a Danielle Steel novel. t.A.T.u's one major hit "All the Things She Said" is not obscure new age. Nate King Cole and Natalie Cole do not sound like Louis Armstrong. Bing Crosby never did any 40 minute hypnosis sessions to my knowledge. Neither did the Delfonics, Toby Keith, or David Cross. William Shatner does not sound like Andy Williams. Marvin Gaye does not sound like Roberta Flack. Cyne does not sound like Perry Como. The two songs on Trainspotting you wanted to tag as the same song have different artists, sounds, and about 6 minutes difference in length. And my brother wrote IDM music, it not sound classical Liszt, soft jazz for Andrew Oh, or Norwegian folk tales. Those are just the ones I'm aware of; I also deleted dozens of songs that I just gave up on after realizing they were wrong. Whatever runs this program, it runs it wrong. Given the fact that it was "correcting" it own clean up from previous versions - sometimes slightly in the more correct direction, others so far off that it's good I went through and found some favorite songs I'd "lost" because they were mislabeled back then, there's something inherently flawed in TuneUp. DON'T BUY IT, DON'T EVEN USE THE TRIAL - you will wind up looking for another program just to clean up the messes it made.

    "Tiffany From TuneUp Here"

    April 11, 2014   |   By tiffany_oliver

    Version: TuneUp 2.4.8

    TuneUp is under new management!

Please do not download any 3.0 versions.

So sorry to hear that all of you have had so many issues. I wanted to hop in here to let all of you know that TuneUp is now under new ownership. The former owners (TuneUp Media) ceased operations back in February, but the product is now fully supported by the new owners. You can read more about this transition here: http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/industry-leading-tuneup-app-re-launched-under-new-ownership-1890785.htm

For those of you that are still interested in using TuneUp, we strongly recommend that you revert back to version 2.4.8, which we believe to be TuneUp's strongest, most stable and most accurate version. For more information about how to do that, go here:

For those of you interested in checking out TuneUp, please download the free trial here: http://www.tuneupmedia.com/download/

Thanks for all of the support over the years. We plan on making TuneUp better and more reliable in the future. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
