    The only way is to stop the forced installation I believe is when you get to the first pane which requested your agrrement before installation and go down to the bottom corner and tick 'Custom Installation'. Of course Tuneup won't tell you that so easily.

    If you don't click on 'Custom Installation' then you have no choice not to accept the AVG Toolbar. This stinks.

    You're wrong Andrewheg. There are no options in avoiding installing AVG Toolbar. Why don't you try out the installation yourself. It has two options and the first one is Recommended and the second option is to customise but no way out of not installing.

    I just tried it out now and AVG Toolbar is forced installation

    Not quite right. The installation of AVG Toolbar is easily avoided during installation. Simply uncheck those options and proceed as normal.
