Tumblr's Android app makes it easier than ever to update your blogs and the blogs you follow. We could log in or out of our Tumblr account; post or share pictures, animated GIFs, video clips, music, text, quotes, and more; edit and delete posts; search for, follow, and unfollow blogs; and do nearly anything we could do from Tumblr's website. Tumblr 3.3 is suitable for Android 2.2 and up.
More social: This app enhances Tumblr's social media experience in many ways, not the least of which is having a handset-optimized interface with you at all times.
Unified experience: The app's Dashboard is a slightly pared down version of the main site, only it's even easier to scroll through. The app's image quality is impressive.
Extras: We could save unfinished messages as drafts; queue posts for sending to save data; edit posts in plain text, HTML, or markdown; edit URLs and Source URLs; and perform other maintenance tasks.
Create: We couldn't create a new Tumblr blog from the app but had to use the Web interface instead; something we hope Tumblr addresses in subsequent updates.
Archives: There doesn't seem to be a way to access the useful blog Archive feature from the app, though oddly enough we could do so from Tumblr's main site in our browser.
Tumblr claims its Android app is a faster and better way to view and manage blogs on the go, and it's true. It's a must for Tumblr users.
