"Very very slow"
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.57
Pros
May be ok for tiny backups
Cons
Did about 100 MB / hour on my modern system - inexcusably poor performance.

"Does not backup to CD/DVD drive"
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.55
Pros
nothing since this free "Personal" edition doesn't do the most common type of "Personal" backup - to a CD/DVD!!
Cons
"Free Personal Edition" Does not backup to CD/DVD drive
Summary
Just another useless gimmick come-on (fraud) to buy their commercial product.
-
"Works great - many options."
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.54
Pros
Many options. Backs up just files that changed. Do not need to sign in if backing up to local drive. Great tech support.
Cons
Instructions a little sparse. Have to keep program open, but will minimize to just a task bar icon.
Summary
Great backup program.

"Just what i was looking for"
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.48
Pros
The software that came with my usb drive was terrible. I tried all the top back up programs here and like this one the best. It was ez to set up, everything works, and i can back up as much as i want (I have over 50 gig of stuff).
Cons
nothing yet

"Very (freakishly) slow!"
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.46
Pros
Simple to use, backs ups in original format, puts it in the same directory structure
Cons
VERY VERY VERY slow!
Summary
About 10 gig date took about 9.5 hours. This was my test to see if it works. I have 4 drives each have about 100 gig of data. I guess it will take about 3800 hours! Why is it so slow? I don't know how hard is it to do a simple copy????

"Didn't work for me"
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.46
Pros
I've seen good reviews of TrueSafe elsewhere, and It seems a good idea in principle. You add all the files and folders you want to back up, select a destination, start the app and carry on working while it gets on with it.
Cons
Twice I set it and started it, both times I looked later to find it had halted midway though backing up, with an error saying it was unable to find a file (once in my photos, the 2nd in my wife's photos which are on the same PC).
Summary
I've gone back to my old way of manually transferring stuff to my external hard drive. It may take a lot longer but there's no headaches.
I've just downloaded Uranium Backup, it is very similar to trueSafe, the difference being that it worked perfectly. I have true backups of everything I asked it to do, including photos.

"Very easy to use. Back up when you want it to LOVIN IT!"
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.44
Pros
You can set the date and time of the Back up; you can reoccur it so it happens everyday at the same time. TRUSAFE also emails you when a scheduled back up has completed. I can sleep knowing that my data is all backed up.
Cons
the free version lets you back up a minium of 1gb. However the paid version lets you back up as much as you want.
Summary
Great back up plan for all types of users. I first purchased this for my office and now for my home. I have so many important family pics that if lost would be devastating. I back up about 16GB of photos, and as i put new pics into the folder it sees the new file and backs up at the scheduled time. I love the Scheduling feature. I have mine set to back up everyday at midnight. You can remotely back up, meaning if you have 2 TruSafe programs running on 2 different computers; you would be able to store your data at a different location.

"Has a 1 gb backup limit!"
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.41
Pros
none, didn't bother looking for any.
Cons
Even the install software that is uses isn't registered.
Summary
Not worth the download time.
3 stars out of 37 votes, huh? Where are the other 36 reviews?

"Free version VERY limited"
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.30
Pros
Don't know - gave up installing when I discovered the limitation
Cons
In the free version, you can only define ONE backup profile which can only backup 1GB of data. This makes the free version useless...
-
"OK but limited"
Version: TrueSafe Personal Edition 3.22
Pros
Its clean, simple to use and sits quietly doing its job without any fuss.
Cons
The limit of 1 Gb is a big draw back, modern computers very easily and quickly exceed this limit especialy if you have a lot of music stored.
Summary
If the develpers would release a copy that doesn;t limit you to 1 GB maximum then it would be the perfect backup utility but until they do I'm sorry I can only give it a 2 star rating
