Version: TrueCrypt 6.0
"Very good encryption software but beware of changes it makes under the hood..."
Pros: Has solid encryption and does what it is supposed with multiple algorithms to choose from. Privacy and security of your data is taken very seriously with this software.
Cons: Perhaps this is MAYBE a little too serious on terms of security. During installation, the option to turn of windows paging files is pre-checked in an EXTREME attempt to have no private data in memory.
This is going a little overboard and user's with needs of simple encryption and low RAM will find this very annoying. Be aware of this and uncheck this option if you don't need it... Otherwise you will be a little low on memory.

Most posters here want apps that help us rather than frustrate us. This app totally blocked my from logging on; then when I went to dlete it it took forever to get to sys restore.
Think this app needs much more support for us "idiots" and steps on what do do after download. This is carp in my humble opinion.

Do you know what "under the hood" means? It means that it is not visible. However, when you install TrueCrypt, one of the options is "Disable Windows paging files" so they do NOT do it "under the hood". I'd delete your post as misleading.
