Pros: Used it for awhile now...great program...takes a little bit to learn the nice details but worth the time.
Cons: none...this program does what it says without any extra frills.

"Awesome, Free, Advanced, Does The Job Right"
Pros: Everything about this program suggests that it should be sold for over 200 bucks (but its free). It has a wide array of advanced encryption tools that truly will protect your files.
Cons: Nothing!!!

"My best and most used software... after OS"
Pros: Hardcore protection of your files
Sooooooooo many options
QUICK!... how other data encryption programs take soo long idn
FREE! FREE! FREE!... and not a cheap looking or operating programCons: It might take one or two runs to work out what to do, but they explain everything you need for your basic user right up to the extreme add-ons for you nerd people

"Waste of time for basic security"
Pros: errrm, tricky one this.......it's free?
that's itCons: Where do I start, confusing, complex, waste of time / energy, difficult to understand, not easy to transport files, have to go through too many steps to do anything
Summary: All I wanted to do was secure a 8gb USB flash drive. This is 100% NOT the product if you are only looking for basic security. It seems to me it's more for those who feel the need to have strong security and are happy to go to the seemingly ridiculous... read more

Version: TrueCrypt 6.1a
Pros: Truecrypt is bar-none the best freeware app on the market today. It's encryption is surprisingly powerful- neither I nor my friends could break it.
Cons: Not for beginners. It's interface is quite simple, and confusing for those who are starting out with encryption.
Summary: Amazing. This and Secunia PSI are the two best freeware apps available. Though beginners may find trouble, seasoned vets should be at home with TrueCrypt. read more
