"Good - but not for Snow Leopard"

Pros
Seems to work well with many applications under Leopard.
Cons
Not yet very useful with Snow Leopard apps.
Summary
Most of the applications (Safari, iTunes, iChat) I tried under Snow Leopard would not compress. Based on a comparison with what XSlimmer reports about these applications, the issue seems to be that there are "permissions" that need to be reset to allow the weeding out of the unwanted parts of the packages. Before I upgraded to Snow Leopard, the application worked fine with Leopard. It really is amazing what bloat there is in some of these apps.
However, Snow Leopard is on my newer (18 month old) iMac - which has a big fat disc - so space there is not really a constraint. The program is more important to use on my old G3 and G4 iMacs - that have small discs - and whose OS's I have upgraded to Tiger (i.e. beyond what they were really designed for). For those computers, the savings in file size achieved are worthwhile, and this program does a good job.
