Cons
see Goek review.
Summary
still waiting for a Mac version of MediaMonkey and all it's helpful tools but this is a giant step in the right direction.

"Fairly complete id3 tag editor"
Version: TriTag 0.8
Pros
As far as I can tell this is the only piece of music management freeware that both edits id3 tags from file names and vice versa. Also allows you to edit tags manually. After you know your way around the program it does the job very well.
Cons
This program does not let you edit filenames manually, only from id3 tags. There is a FreeDB button on the application but it's unavailable and I can't get it to work. Drag&dropping files from finder into the application is a pain.
Summary
It does the job, but takes some exploring sometimes. There's a small field in the top left corner where you can select conversion modes that didn't notice at first. Also, you can see the changes you've made in the table with files at the bottom, but you have to click apply to actually save the changes.

"Pretty good."
Version: TriTag 0.8
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
It works as advertised if you are paying attention. 2 things:
1) I wish that it didn't overwrite the entire tag. Meaning, I wanted to change the actual filename to the mp3 title. This worked just fine, but the rest of the tags were lost. Not good. Perhaps you could add an option to keep any remaining information that's not affected by whatever TriTag is modifying.
2) It would be nice if the program supported directories. So you could do something like %a/%t/%s and TriTag would know that if it follows the directory structure, it can automatically enter in the correct tags.
Overall, it's a pretty powerful program, it just needs a few features to knock it out of the park. -

Very intuitive -- didn't even need to read the manual. Very impressive -- worked the first time (even with VBR). Very timely -- and saves a lot of it, too!
