After a scan i repair the problems and then most of the programs didn't work so i had to install it again.!

"Very comprehensive listing, nice design touches"

Pros
Produces a very comprehensive listing of active applications, processes, services, and associated registry keys. Includes inactive services as well. Browser shell execution hooks show up too. User interface is well organized and very functional. When listing is saved to log file, the file is then opened in Notepad to facilitate text searches, etc. Nice touch!
Cons
A little difficult to navigate the results. It could go into more detail about things that are recognized to be safe and those that are not. On the other hand, it does issue disclaimers about arbitrarily deleting entries. Come to think of it, forget this con. It does what it's supposed to do, it does it very well, and it's free.
This is my first positive review. If HijackThis can cut through an attitude like mine, it's worth trying. Now dial me out of here, General Hammond!

Can identify the mallicious things. Can increase PC speed with the deletion of the selected files.
Cons
But you must know what item/s to delete or remove. You need identify the selected coutious items.

I discovered this marvellous program quite some time back. I wasn't aware that 'Merijn' had sold it to Trend Micro. I hope they 'look after it' well :)
Using HijackThis always makes me feel like some kind of computer techie. person as I busy myself checking each entry and looking it up to see if it's safe.
Some don't like the 'non-newb-friendliness' of it, but I personally feel that any inquisitive, patient person can make good use of this program: the spywareinfo.com site has plenty of help to assist if you're a bit lost by the 'nakedness' of this program's interface.
Cons
Don't be alarmed when you select one or two entries from the results and click 'fix' and see everything disappear! You just need to click scan again. I wish someone had written this sentence for me.. Frightened the life out of me! :P
