Trend Micro Antivirus is a powerful malware detection tool that works to boost your Mac's efficiency in identifying and blocking unwanted software and intrusive processes. It finds the right balance between protection and usability and does so in a way that is accessible to most users.
Solid malware blocking ability: Trend Micro Antivirus is incredibly efficient in detecting potential problems. This includes checking social media privacy settings, managing your passwords and other encrypted data on your machine, and ensuring proper security for your files when transferring them.
Builds on a strong entry-level tool: Trend Micro Antivirus builds up the entry-level suite in many ways, adding much-needed security tools like password management and online backup.
Not always a good tool for fixing existing problems: While Trend Micro will protect your machine against intrusion and infection, it's not as effective in cleaning up an already messy system. Additionally, there are some overzealous protections built in to the system, which can be altered but could be an impediment for some users.
If you are looking for a powerful antivirus and antimalware app combined with a number of other powerful tools to protect your personal data and your Mac, then Trend Micro Antivirus is a good fit at a reasonable price.

What's new in this version:
Version 7 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Very easy to install, doesn't slow down your Mac with invasive controls, very dependable and requires little interaction to keep protection updated. I also like the ability to cover two additional Macs or PCs with the one subscription.
Would be nice if they allowed more accounts to be added at a discounted rate over and above the two extra accounts that accompany the first fully paid account.
Got it free with purchase of 1 TB Firewire 800 backup drive. Easy to use. Provides real time protection
Infrequent updated of virus signatures, as compared to Microsoft Security Essential on WIndows. No firewall!
Haven't checked for a while, but it's the best I can find on CNET that's free. My MacKeeper Utility($30/year) with new Antivirus capability had given me problems and I disabled it's antivirus option to keep using this package. Don't know if I'm making the best choice.
Well, I gotta say you give a good product a bad name. It installed just fine on my Macbook & has been doing an excellent job of protecting it since I purchased & installed it. I'd Like to see a CNet review on this, because I ace had no problems at all. It's working fine on my 10.6.5.
