The program asks you questions about the tree until it has enough information to give you the name of the tree and other information about the tree. The program is based on state department of natural resources information.

""The program is better at identifying trees than most books, since it has a triple proof system: this unique feature allows you to view similar leaf pictures side by side, then compare your findings to the answer of questions about the tree to prove the leaf comparisons, and then read about unique features of the tree to further solidify your answer.""
