    "Much Improved!"

    October 19, 2005  |   By lmb

    Version: Transmission 0.3

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Stability issues seem to be resolved, and this may be the fastest BitTorrent client available for OSX. I'm regularly seeing d/l times that are 75% of the times I saw with BitTorrent's official client, and 50% what I saw with Azureus/Bits on Wheels.

    Wow.

Meta: Version Tracker is reluctant to let users find the app. It turns up in searches by name, and searches for "BitTorrent", but not in searches for "torrent" or "bit torrent".

    "Perfect!"

    October 19, 2005  |   By jeremy.fisher_dotmac

    Version: Transmission 0.3

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Version 0.2 was very buggy for me, very inconsistant.

0.3 has been very stable, and very fast with almost every torrent I threw at it. Connects to peers instantly and have been getting great d'load speeds.

Love the simple interface (and it matches Camino perfectly!). Camino can pass a downloaded torrent file directly to Transmission to start d'loading! Couldn't be easier.

At last a bittorrent app that is simple, good-looking for OSX, and above all, FAST.

    Two thumbs up!

Thanks to the developer for writing this simple program that just works. Much needed when all the other alternatives choke my computer and clutter the screen.

    "Efficiency rules."

    Version: Transmission 0.1

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Started this nifty app by starting four torrents while having my CPU at 50%. Activity monitor shows that even with four torrents running, two of which are 20/20 up and down, this program uses under 10% of my computer's resources. Well done! This app shows great promise. Keep up the good work!
