"Most Thorough Uninstaller"
Version: Total Uninstall 4.6
Pros
This has done the best job of removing all the leftovers for me; it also can log changes while installing software to ensure a 100% uninstallation.

"The program is great..for advanced users."
Version: Total Uninstall 3.52
Pros
Takes a snapshot of files, folders and the registry before and after installing an application.
Fairly intuitive but if you want more options then you can set your own snapshot profiles, delete files and folders IN the snapshot itself.
Will record snapshot after reboot (saves session for later).
Anyone here who experienced trouble with it is only because they are inexperienced.
Always look in the settings/options menus first of any new program. Defaults are not always the best and not everything can read your mind...
Cons
Highly programmable (which is a pro/con depending who you are), modifies sensitive data. Not for the meek.
If the options look confusinng then remove it from your computer before you damage it.
By the way v.3.81 is available from authors site; WTH? no posting links? copy this to address bar:

"Only works for program installed after installing"
Version: Total Uninstall 3.52
Cons
It may work very well for programs installed after Total Uninstall has been installed. It doesn't (can't?) uninstall applications previuosly installed.

"Mass Deletes for No Apparent Reason"
Version: Total Uninstall 3.52
Pros
Fairly speedy monitoring process.
Cons
Not accurate enough to be trusted. Might as well get a 3yr to choose what files are deleted. You might as well buy a defective hard drive as the result is the same as trusting this program: data loss.

"Overall A Great Program"
Version: Total Uninstall 3.52
Pros
I really like this program as I have found that it is very apt at removing all traces of programs which it can uninstall.
If you frequently install and remove software, this program is for you!
Cons
It can turn up false positives as in it marks antivirus folders and history folders simply because the antivirus program was running and thus a change.

"This really helps me get rid the left overs..."
Version: Total Uninstall 3.52
Pros
I used the free version of this program in the past and now I am using their paid latest version and I think it really does its job well of removing everything from the uninstalled programs. First I use the windows built-in add/remove to uninstall the program then after reboot I use Total Uninstall to remove the left-overs then I use registry cleaners after that (Registry Mechanic is good at that). Go download the latest version it is now version 3.61 at the authors site. This is one of the great program you must have in your pc if you are fond of installing programs and then removing them after it got boring.
Cons
none
