Total Privacy is a safe and easy-to-use Windows privacy protection tool that securely deletes Internet tracks and program history information stored on your computer. It guarantees your privacy by permanently erasing all traces of your Internet and computer activities, including browser cache, cookies, web forms data, recent documents history, application history, temporary files, recycle bin and much more. It also includes support for many third party applications via downloadable plug-ins. You can also clean your deleted email folders, delete the swap files, index.dat file and manage your cookies. The program also includes a file shredder, a startup manager and a tool to generate secure passwords. Total Privacy supports Internet Explorer, AOL, MSN, Netscape and Mozilla.

"I like this program."

it's a good program & if your like me, worth a purchase. Not only is the program good, it's fast at it's tasks, configurable & has never caused me any damage to either of my systems. XP Pro & Vista Ultimate. It's the best I've seen in cleaning the junk left over from Firefox. Not only that, this is a great company to do business with. They provide good, fast tech support which is unusual these days. this one, I can & do recommend, especially for those using Vista & Firefox together.
Cons
Unfortunately, theres one con. It doesn't get everything I need cleaned, cleaned. Like Windows Live messenger. It leaves a ton of junk behind & for that I use Tracks Eraser Pro. I'm not one for saving cookies & this misses a few. For that, I use Privacy eraser Pro. So you see, I have three like programs to clean up after me. All work well at what they do & I wouldn't be without any of them.

"Cleaning junk is the way to go."

Pros
I believe in cleaning junk and running a disk defrag over registry cleaning. This program is a nice addition to the other history cleaners I use. Thats correct, I said others. Three to be accurate. Tracks Eraser Pro, Privacy Eraser Pro and Total Privacy. What one leaves, the others get. This one has an excellent "clean free space" and clean "Windows temp files" as well as to many other options to mention. The best thing about this program is "Pointstone Software". They are an excellent company who provide great tech support and always answer your emails quickly. I very rarely mess with my registry so getting rid of the built up junk and keeping my hard drive without fragments makes my Vista system run great.
Cons
Doesn't get it all. I'd prefer not to have the need for three history cleaners so this one and the other two all need a little work. But together they keep a clean, good running system and help me avoid messing with my systems registry.

"Good program, great company!"

Pros
This is a feature rich, professional program. It has a professionally laid out interface that took me 10 minutes to get around it and set it all up. Does a great job of wiping free space where the program I've been using is very slow. Most importantly, it comes from a software company that cares about it's customers. Pointstone Software offers solid, English speaking tech support. They answer every email in a day or two with a real solution, not some jive mumbo jumbo. Unusual in todays world of software vendors is Steve Martins who's a real class act at Pointstone Software! The program does what it claims it will . It has full Vista compatibility. I can, without reservation, recommend it for Vista users.
Cons
Just a minor bug or two that I'm positive will be addressed shortly.

This software is right in line with the top competitors in this class. That includes the price. It has a good, user friendly GUI. Options are included for all the popular browsers. It's compatible with several windows and installed software applications. It does what it claims it will, it's highly configurable and it's safe to use. It's compatible with "XP" and "Vista". This is a good option for this type application. Equal to "Tracks Eraser Pro" and better then most.
Cons
I have one problem with this software. The so called free trial is terribly limited. I'd be willing to bet it could gain a fair market share with a full, thirty day free trial. These ridicules trials are a bunch of bull!

"Doesn't do what it says!"

A great user interface. Lots of features which other privacy programs also have and some more.
Cons
After cleaning and shredding various files and folders from my browser and windows history, I checked and they were all still there. I tried a different algorithm but the same result. Nothing was wiped. I'm running XP Corporate and maybe it cant access the profiles for Temp folder access etc. I tried the clean free space function with a single wipe algorithm and a 35 wipe algorithm and they both took exactly the same amount of time so I think that neither has worked because they were both extremely fast ( 10 Mb per sec). All in all I do not think the program is doing anything on my system. I have tried many before and this rates as the poorest.

Pros
I was deciding between Windows Washer and Antitracks for a privacy protection program but I was fortunate to discover Total Privacy when I was purchasing System Cleaner. From all the programs I tried this one has the biggest number of features and a very nice interface to go with. I particularly like the profiles feature, the individual scheduling options for each profile, the option to select which firefox profile or profiles should be cleaned and the various security options to shred the files washed.
Cons
Nothing really. Glad I found this one before making the purchase I was about to do.

An interface is not very much clear. But due to the help the program can be considered useful.

Too multicoloured very bright interface.
Colouring not is very pleasant.
This product not is comfortable in the use.
Very short trial period.

Could not find any with the restrictions placed in the trial version
Cons
The trial version will only delete the first 30 files. Hard to tell how effective it is from that. Of course after uninstalling it takes you to the product site where you can air your beefs. Again not sure how effective that is as well. Use r-wipe and clean. I just purchased it based on an effective trial period.

"A nifty little scam"

After downloading, I immediately launched the program. I get a window saying that my free trial period is alreay expired. Whatever. So, I immediately go to uninstall. After the uninstall, my browser opens at their site, asking why I uninstalled the program. When I click that I didn't have time to evaluate the program because the trial expired, it immediately offers to send me a key to gain 10 "more" days to evaluate IF I enter my name, email & other personal info. Cute little scam to get my information to sell to others and otherwise target me with spam. No thanks. I'll look elsewhere.
