    "Surprisingly Awesome"

    June 15, 2014  |   By IronRat666

    Version: Torch Browser 33.0.0.7027

    Pros

The Torch Music application is phenomenal. It has a mass list of entire albums that play very quickly and the entire song. It is rather unbelievable and it is completely free. I am extremely impressed with this.

The torrent program operates well. It is pretty much the same as UTorrent from what I can see, which is not a bad thing. It is also of course, built in to the browser, making it very convenient.

I have not messed with the games but there are a lot of options there and I presume it is just like any other free flash based games site.

It is a very simple process to drag and drop images onto the side of the page, and I would assume it is just as easy for video or audio files. Doing this allows you to share it on whatever social media site you see fit.

I also noticed a cool little addition that allows you to customize your facebook page quickly and easily and even share your customization with your friends if you wish to show off your changes.

    Cons

I did experience a crash one time about 3-4 minutes after the installation. I did not experience any add-ons. It did attempt to become my default browser and default torrent, but this is to be expected and I simply had to deselect the checkbox to prevent it from happening. I may go ahead and make it the default at this point, however.

I did experience a bit of slow speed rate for a brief period, but nothing that I have not experienced in Google Chrome as well.

    Summary

Overall, this browser seems to be exactly what it advertises itself to be and with very minimal flaws.
I have seen minimal complications with the functionality and it has a plethora of cool features.
If you are an avid user of social media or music sites or downloading, from what I can see, this is the browser you want to be using.

    "Keeps crashing"

    June 6, 2014  |   By Teenl958

    Version: Torch Browser 33.0.0.6969

    Pros

    Easy to download

    Cons

Although its very easy to download, it is actually very slow to use.
I downloaded it today 6th June 2014 within 3 hours of downloading it crashed 4 times.
    Music didn't work,
    Games didn't work

    Summary

Not secure, very slow to launch and keeps crashing. Nothing seemed to work. I have to say I don't like Google but Torch as far as I'm concerned is worse.

"Does everything Chrome does and more"

    January 19, 2014  |   By Mikeyzxcvbn

    Version: Torch Browser 29.0.0.5530

    Pros

I installed and from the first time I ran it all my bookmarks and settings from Chrome are there! Even the cookies are there! I can download videos and torrents simply by clicking on them. I have Roboform lite installed as an extension to manage all my passwords. I tried a few apps, they run the same as in Chrome.

    Cons

    None yet...

    Summary

I have not used the torrent engine enough to know if the old bugs are still there. But it's nice to make one click and it downloads in background.
Does everything Chrome does, I don't need Chrome anymore.

    "Horribly Invasive!"

    December 27, 2013  |   By renewme2010

    Version: Torch Browser 29.0.0.5165

    Pros

    None. Absolutely freaking none!!!!!!!!!

    Cons

Was not able to use! Very careful to "deny" every step of the install giving me the opportunity to uncheck all the 'frivolous' junk ware attached and still ended up with at least 4 programs I did not want. After unloading them through control panel I was still stuck with the Yahoo "My-Start" page as my default start page on "EVERY SINGLE BROWSER ON MY MACHINE". One by one these had to be taken care of with the exception of Mozilla Firefox which by their own help page instructions, after exhausting all the options they instruct you to remove and reload. What a piece of crap! I go to other readers for my reviews

    Summary

Piece of crap! Unless you are 12 years old and just watch movies and 'fake' book!

"CNET reviewer apparently doesn't get it"

    December 9, 2013  |   By Clay_Cassin

    Version: Torch Browser 29.0.0.5165

    Pros

It is NOT "noticeably slower than other browsers". It is FAST and reliable.
It DOES have the same add-on support(at least it all works for me!)
"it doesn't do any of those things well enough to replace what you currently use"- NOT true... it's built in torrent client is JUST as fast and effective as my uTorrent client- and much easier to use. The media recorder is the best I have ever tried. Once I applied a different theme, I find it much more attractive than Firefox. Everything about this browser works brilliantly!

    Cons

I have had the media grabber cut short a few videos on some more obscure sites- but it still gets most of it. It does not work well on Hulu, but YouTube is perfect.
It was a bit sluggish at first, until I realized that the "Hola" VPN service was enabled by default... turn it off, and it works fine. Maybe the reviewer did not catch that... that's the only explanation for their "noticeably slower" comment I can think of. Of course, ALL VPN's slow down the browsing experience, as they use servers in far away countries.
Not a CON- The aforementioned "Hola" VPN is a wonderful built in feature for those in restrictive countries with heavy internet censorship- this let's them defeat censorship and access banned sites(one of those is quite often facebook
Honestly, those are the only issues I have seen, and VPN enabled by default is minor and correctable.

    Summary

If you are a social media user, put down the Firefox and Chrome and USE THIS BROWSER!!! You will not be disappointed. In fact, I believe you will simply be amazed and impressed!
This is the very BEST browser I have ever used... by far. Ignore the ill-informed CNET reviewer and get it now!

"I can play on Facebook with virtually no problems."

    December 2, 2013  |   By Packer54

    Version: Torch Browser 29.0.0.5165

    Pros

It's fast and easy and is updated frequently. I switched because I was having problems playing on Facebook with IE and Firefox, and accidentally found Torch. It's my main browser.

    Cons

It freezes once in a while, but not as often as IE or Firefox did.

    Summary

I think it's great! I really like the Torch browser.
