"Token 2, Free version"
Version: Token 2 2.9.5
Pros
Token 2 is freeware. Token2 Plus is trialware.
Cons
Run the install from a clean directory. Otherwise the install wizard may get confused.

"Excellent Free Program"
Version: Token 2 2.9.5
Pros
I've used this program for a few months now, with a USB to Serial converter, to configure Cisco routers. I've configured over 50 of them with no issue at all. Cut and paste from command templates works. Logging sessions works. Flow control over a WAN with high latency (in telnet mode) and locally over the serial (COM) port works. Note that "some other telnet programs" mess up the flow control in the WAN scenario.
Nice program. Especially for a free one.
Cons
com://5,9600,8,n,1 is an awkward way to specify a com port. But the included help file tells you how to do this, so I'm okay with it.

"Didn't self extract & is it really free?"
Version: Token 2 2.9.5
Cons
The WinZip Self extractor just hung for an hour, at which I killed it. It told me SETUP.exe was still running.
Plus if it's not really free, I don't want it.

"Nice Feature Set"
Version: Token 2 2.9.5
Summary
This is a cool little utility if you need to capture long text from telnet sessions. Only, I've still not figured out how to use it via the serial port. Otherwise, it rocks!
