"complain,complain, to tivo,can't transfer rec to pc"
Pros: none whatsoever
Cons: can not transfer any of the recorded shows or any programs to my pc.i reinstalled 2.6 and with 2.6 i can trans all recorded shows,programs and movies.

"Waste of money. Most programs are copy protected now."
Pros: Interface is pretty easy
Cons: If you have a firewall it can be difficult to setup
Summary: Since I downloaded this program I copied 20 shows. And suprise, suprise all 20 are listed as copy protected. I guess TIVO don't really want anyone to keep copies of any program anymore. Don't waste mony on this program. read more

"Absolutely terrible software!"
Pros: Easy to install.
Cons: Does not work. Will not connect to TiVo on my LAN. Wasted hours tweaking firewall settings & pinging. Uninstall does not work either. Had to manually delete TiVo folder and use 3 registry cleaners to rid system of TiVo's useless entries.
Summary: Stay away from this piece of #@$%^%$#$@#.....!!! read more

Version: Tivo Desktop 2.7
"Version 2.7 disabled all TIVO to PC communication"
Pros: Nothing- it disbled my TIVO to PC communication.
Cons: I was unable to get 2.7 to ever work with my network and PC. While Version 2.6 worked flawlessly for me- no memory leaks as reported by others- this latest version would never work correctly. What's worse is the pathetic technical support TIVo has.
Summary: The product is not functional for me, and based on the TIVO support forums, I am not alone. read more
