Pros
File transfers from TiVo to PC 'feel' a little faster. TiVo Desktop and Windows Home Server seem to work better together with this update.
Cons
None known, maybe the automatic update will work now, but it never has in the past.
Summary
If you use TiVo Desktop I see no reason not to installl this update. It seems a little better that 2.8, and it doesn't seem to have broken anything.
