"Tiny, efficient, and simple - just what I wanted!"

    August 7, 2010  |   By formulajake88

    Version: TinyResMeter 1.0

    Pros

This program is everything it claims to be; tiny, extremely light on system resources, customizable (without getting too flashy), and accurate.

    Cons

    None at all :)

    Summary

This program replaced my Windows sidebar CPU meter, which used about 5% of my CPU all by itself. This meter, however, does no such thing. I have it in my start up folder, and I love that at any time I can look and see exactly what my computer is doing. I also really dig the fact that it will display WHAT is using the most CPU, RAM, or disk resources if you want it to (that is, if you download the updated version from the website). It's pretty much everything I could have ever wanted from a resource meter...

"Tiny, easy to use, low resources. I love it!"

    June 20, 2009  |   By PaulRFrank

    Version: TinyResMeter 1.0

    Pros

Tiny, easy to use, negligible resources. This his in my Startup to monitor my RAM & CPU%. With this I can avert a freeze by not opening too much, yet not wait around sitting on my palms because I might be opening too much too quickly. Love it!

    Cons

The con is another reviewer panned them because they had no support site. While I appreciate the sentiment they don't need one! It is simple and there are no problems. These guys are on vacation in the Caribean sipping drinks under a palm tree.

    Summary

Tiny, easy to use, negligible resources. I have this in my Startup folder so that I can monitor my CPU%. With this I can avert a freeze by not opening too much at the same time, yet not wait around sitting on my palms because I might be opening too much too quickly. I am currently at another computer downloading it because I am going crazy not knowing what's going on. Love it!

    "tiny useful and great"

    March 14, 2009  |   By pajamas786

    Version: TinyResMeter 1.0

    Pros

uses minimal system resources, takes up minimal space on hard drive. runs as executable. new version keeps track of the fields you like to see and displays them so you don't have to configure it every time.

    Cons

just wish it could be configured to integrate with other screen elements so as to look more like samurize. does not automatically start on boot. wish it would work with vista.

    Summary

tiny res meter is better than samurize in my book. very simple snapshot of how your system is doing--ram usage, cpu usage. you can move the little report snapshot wherever you want on your screen, and you can configure it to be "on top" and you can make it partially transparent. i use this program all the time, and i trust it as far as viruses & spyware go--i can't say the same for samurize. price is right-free. i'm surprised everybody doesn't use this program, it's one of my very favorite programs. great diagnostic tool. in fact it's better than i am because i don't understand the advanced tools that help you keep track of network connections, plus a few others i don't understand. i really wish it worked in vista. if you have xp, definitely use this program, it will serve you well.

    Updated on Jan 3, 2010

i love this, have it running on my work and home computers. any computer i use regularly. the only problem i have with this software is suddenly it stopped working on both computers right around the beginning of 2010. very good for monitoring what is going on with your RAM and CPU--you can tell when your computer is overburdened. gives you a clue when spyware or viruses are present. i've been using it for 3 or 4 years. minimal impact on performance. my only con is that it seems to have stopped working and i don't know whether i'll be able to replace it. :)

"Neat tool, but drives PowerPoint crazy"

    May 11, 2008  |   By oasisben

    Version: TinyResMeter 1.0

    Pros

I like the simple installation, small footprint, etc. -- nice to be able to monitor CPU, MEM, etc., in real-time

    Cons

BUT -- after some trial-n-error I disovered that it was this tool that was driving PowerPoint crazy -- whenever I run TinResMeter it causes PowerPoint to re-paint the image many bunches of times as you switch from slide-to-slide ... the more complex the image, the more likely you'll have this problem.

    "It is an excellent idea"

    December 7, 2007  |   By rerice2

    Version: TinyResMeter 1.0

    Pros

Has a very good selection of things to monitor, Probably is something useful to everyone.

    Cons

The graphic is too hard to read. It should be larger ( or adjustable )

and not stacked on top of one another

It would be very good as a .Windows Gadget.

    "Wonderful little tool"

    October 3, 2007  |   By Shinsha

    Version: TinyResMeter 1.0

    Pros

Its small, compact, with lots of meters (some you never see in such a compact tool). I highly recommend this little monitor to everyone.

    Cons

I would love to see them add a net monitor to this, for upload and download speeds, then it would be perfection.
