Version: Tiny Personal Firewall 6.5
"used to be..."
Pros: used to be a favoriate of mine, but...
Cons: but now with the firewalls built into everything (home routers, norton, xp)I don't find it as useful as it used to be.

Your hardware only blocks traffic that did not originate on your PC. Unfortunately, users will persist in causing bad programs to execute. Norton is an abortion that takes over your resources and is impossible to completely remove. And XP does not block outgoing traffic. Micro$oft does not want it to. It would affect clients' and partners' programs. I have been using TPF for 7 lucky years, after I left BlackIce, ZoneAlarm and Norton, all of which gave me problems. Never a problem. Never an exposure. Running on 3 PCs. All it takes to use TPF is some basic understanding of TCP/IP. I believe you lack this understanding. I wish you luck.
