"cleaned up my mess of links"
Version: Tidy Favorites 4.0.9
Pros
Easy to use and install. Works on Vista 32 & 64. Links to either a home page or a page I want to start in. Easy on the eyes and fully customizeable. This is on alll my machines now. Tabs help me to separate by type and I can create my own.
Cons
On one machine I had dozens of duplicates. Had to remove and delete them, Not the fault of the program but my own mess. Still haven't found a con,
Summary
This is one of those products that only serious users will appreciate. I made my own tabs, moved my links to those tabs and now have a quick visual reference to browsing to any of a hundred sites. With visual clues I now know what the site is before blindly clicking and hoping I remember which site I am looking for. This is a keeper!

"Worth trying for those who are serious about bookmarks"
Version: Tidy Favorites 3.82
Pros
-very nice to look at, extremely easy to learn
-works within browser
-free version allows importing from any browser (PRO version allows export)
-works with Internet Explorer 8
-no annoying pop-ups in free version, appears to have no trial windowCons
-even if you buy the product, the language on the website suggests that future updates will require you to shell out more cash
-could implement more features
-strange implementation of Internet search query; maybe it's worthwhile/functional in PROSummary
For individuals who dreamed bigger than the skeletal settings in their Internet browser (or, more likely, turned away from half-baked Firefox browser add-ins such as Scrapbook), serious software developers appeared to have moved onto other bookmarking demographics. Social bookmarkers, apparently much more appealing than people like myself, have "delicious," for example. Another group, those unconcerned with privacy/legacy issues, can find sanctuary with Opera browser, which has integrated synchronization of bookmarks between computers...assuming you don't mind casting all of your browsing information to the fickle winds of the "Interweb."
For the rest of us, the already neglected world of third party bookmarking apps became the equivalent of a back-alley in online apps. I can't tell you how many programs I've looked into only to be dissuaded by exorbitant fees, suspicious program activity, or the abandonment of the product by someone who meant well circa the '90s.
Enter Tidy Favorites. The website for the software doesn't look like someone in their parents' basement tossed it together (though that may still be the case); indeed, the polished video and information exude permanence and trust (engendered feelings that I have yet to truly test). So, despite my cynicism, I decided to give it a try--Building on (Opera loyalists might say stealing) the speed-dial concept, you build visual collections of hyperlinks, which are represented by updated snapshots of the URL in question, in a very basic-looking Windows UI. Tabs at the bottom of the page (check the website out) as well as one-way folders help make it surprisingly easy to organize. -
"Satisfactory operation"
Version: Tidy Favorites 3.4
Pros
Very easy to use once I figured it out. Saves time for organizing all of my favorites. I can even put a favorite in more than one folder. Not bad
Cons
Figuring out the operation was just a bit tricky.
