"Perfect at keeping track of tasks and projects!"
Version: ThinkingRock 1.2.3
Pros
The program excels at keeping track of tasks and projects (tasks that have more than one item). The program is based on the overall Getting Things Done approach by David Allen (a very good time management approach). The application is also cross platform, so for those folks who are hemmed into a Windows shop at work and opt for the Mac world at home (there's more and more of those people these days), this application is very nice. Along with a very streamlined interface based on a proven time manangement technique, the application is FREE! I have been using the program for about three weeks on both Windows XP and Mac OS X (10.4.8) - I haven't had a crash or any strange behavior on either platforms. Stable, free and useful - not too bad!
Cons
I would sure like to see OLE support in future versions of the application. I would like the ability to embed graphics or files within the notes of the tasks/projects. I would also like to see some simple things like date and time stamp capability, secondary mouse click menu/shortcut support and file and/or URL link support for the notes. As well as the app has been put togehter so far, I imagine that future versions will work on things like these.
