Editors' Review

With about 50 million things to do each day, it can be hard to fit in any creative projects. The Starving Artist is a productivity app that helps you keep track of projects you have going on or want to pursue. While the app is geared toward creative people, we think it would work well for just about anyone who needs to stay focused.

To begin The Starving Artist, you'll have to create a profile, which requires a bit of personal information such as your first and last name, the state/province where you live, and your e-mail and a password. This is the one downside of the app; we weren't too enthused about having to fork over so much information, to be quite honest. (Nothing says you have to be 100 percent truthful, however.) There is also an option to join some sort of mailing list. The box is checked by default, but you can uncheck it.

From there, you're shown a Dream Statement and are asked to create your own. After that, it's on to adding your goals and writing out an action plan for them. All you have to do is determine if this is a weekly, monthly, or yearly goal and then tap the plus sign to name the goal and write out an action plan. You can separate your goals into Minor and Majors ones to keep them straight.

There's a Dashboard where you can write about your Successes, but according to the Terms of Service, your thoughts will actually be published to some sort of public community, though we really have no idea where to find it. We recommend steering clear of that feature if you're a fan of privacy. We also wish that the app contained some sort of alert system so that you could be reminded of certain projects throughout the day, week, and month.

The Starving Artist, while not perfect, could be a great way to stay on top of your creative endeavors. We recommend it for all users.
