Version: The Games Factory 1.06 build 38
"TGF is what you make of it..."
Summary: I get the feeling tha people slating TGF haven't truely tried it, or are possibly even a touch slow in the head. comments like "you can only make simple games in it" are completly untrue.
Games such as platformers etc are *very* easy to make in TGF, but this doesn't mean that its all you can do.
It is very possible to make advanced games in TGF, such as RPGs.
I'm currently using TGF to make my own RPG, with Real Time combat, vechiles, many NPC's and much more. To get more advanced things out of TGF you actually have to sit down and think for a bit, not just expect there to be a function to do exactly what you want.
I feel a good comparision for TGF is a game of chess; its easy enough to pick up, but to become truely great at it you need to put in the time and really think about what your doing.

Features - Well TGF allows you to do anything you could want from a 2D game! although some things are trickier to get in place, it is possible.
Playability - Well, this is dependant on how good you are...
Graphics and sound - Don't be a lazy g*t and rely on the libarys! make your own! i use external programs to the make both my Graphics and sound, so it is VERY possible to do them to a high quality.
Stability - never had any problems, its never crashed/locked up on me or corrupted any of my files.
