"Ray46, Dude - you don't know what you're talking about..."

    May 16, 2007  |   By lug100nut

    Version: The Gadgetbar Toolbar 4.5.128

    Pros

I have had Gadgetbar for about 6 weeks now and even though I went through all of Gadgetbar's menus at first for curiosity - I use what I want and when I want it on regular basis with Gadgetbar. Who cares if one of the menus has 80 items within all of the submenus together? Use the links and stuff you need... It's a waste of your time if you're just going to sit there and go to the end of all the menus every day. How weird are u?

A few of my friends and family use Gadgetbar. That's how I foun d out about it. None of us use it less than several times a week. Dude, if you're not interested - then say you're not interested and go your way...

Gadgetbar has saved me tons of money by not having to buy a virus scan, spyware scan programs, firewalls, PC cleaner programs and more... I owe Gadgetbar a lot for finding bad stuff on my PC and getting rid of it.

    Cons

I don't like it when someone gives a reply on a software when they never even gave it a fair glance. It not only messes up opportunities for someone else - but it makes me mad that I might miss a good program cause someone gave it a dumb review.

"I use both IE & Firefox - and there is some NEW NEWS about Gadgetbar...."

    February 11, 2007  |   By formula007

    Version: The Gadgetbar Toolbar 4.5.128

    Pros

All those popular search engines the other guys complained were missing are there... Yahoo, AOL, MSN, etc... Google has been the default search engine ever since the toolbar was first designed.

There are 2, possibly 3 menus that also drop down into 4, maybe 5 sub-menus with lots of other sites or diagnostic downloads... But unless you having really serious trouble with your PC, there's no need to sift through all the sub-menus too. So if the number of menus is too large for you - don't go through them. After all, you won't even need them unless you're trying to fix a serious PC problem.

Plus, I noticed that Gadgetbar allows you to enter through the "toolbar options" where you have the choice to "delete" or "add" from the toolbar whatever you wish to "delete" or "add" to the toolbar.

After checking, there's nearly 100,000 users to this puppy already and it's not even a year old yet.... I guess that's pretty good. I removed more spyware and more viruses from my PC using the Gadgetbar than the usual programs I use are capable of... That was impressive.

The primary reason I even have this bar now is because it has ALL the POPULAR search engines and ALL the POPULAR meta search engines too. Im a search junkie and it's important for me to find what i want.

Plus, I noticed Gadgetbar has "Torrent Search Engines" too. That is cool cause I like to watch movies online.

"Good list of sites, lists are too long"

    January 30, 2007  |   By Ray46

    Version: The Gadgetbar Toolbar 4.5.128

    Pros

Gadgetbar has very good list of sites. Going through the list you will definitely find good sites that you are not aware of. You will probably only occasionally use this toolbar and keep it hidden or disable the add-ons at all other times. Gadgetbar is also available for Firefox.

    Cons

The lists are too big to handle. Some buttons contain lists of over 80 items. It would be a big plus to be able to hide sites I do not like and add additional sites to the lists.

The search box seams a waste of space. No Google, Yahoo, or MSM search engine options. No way to add other search engines.
