You can drag & drop a group of files and The Extractor will ignore non-compressed files and will give message on incompatible files. Accepts passwords. Multiple locations for files selected. Zip file deletion.
Cons
Does not decompress .zip.part files. Deleted files are permanent.

I tried several decompression programs and The Extractor won hands down!

Hard to figure out what you can do with it. Couldn't put files where i needed them. Help section doesn't help. Still not sure what all the extras do.

As far as i can get some use out of it, i was satisfied. Thats the problem also. Couldn't get much use out of it. Extract Now is as easy and i get it to do more. Some files i just dropped and said i'll get along without because i couldn't get them extracted to where i needed them. Even other programs such as this are just as puzzling as well. Why can't i get them extracted to where I NEED them!? Don't use unless you can extract(pun intended) the real operating features out of it by osmosis. The help section was a disappointment in explaining how to use the program. I am thinking of removing it as i have another program that i actually use and really don't need this headache one.

After I figured out how to use this product it performed excellent. I could not get 'The Extractor' to extract files to my Windows subdirectory, but I managed to work around this glitch.....this could've been something I did wrong.
Cons
The help file is not real intuitive in explaining the different options available in the lower part of the panel, and I stumbled around for quite awhile trying to figure out what the output preferences actually were.
Summary
This product does what it intends to do, extract files. I would add more verbiage to the help section for people like myself who aren't the best at trying to figure things out without adequate instructions. But then, I'm a technical writer so maybe I am just being too critical of products that I feel do not having adequate documentation.....my apologies to the author.....8^)

This program does just what you need. It's not as fast or as simplistic as RAR Frog, but RAR Frog has problems extracting larger files (larger than 1gb or more than 50 rar "bits").
RAR Frog took less than one minute to extract a 700mb file and to extract you just right click on the main RAR file and click EXTRACT and you are done. This program took almost three times as long to extract and you had to actually enter the program to do the extraction. But this program has been able to extract both small and very large files.
I will continue to use RAR Frog for smaller files do to the speed and simplicity, but I will use this program for all the large files that RAR Frog seems to have issues with. If this program was atleast more simplistic, even if not faster, I would have given it 5 stars. There is really not much extra you need to do when extracting a RAR file, so I do not understand why you have to go into the main program each time and tell it to do what it should already be doing. -
