An independent non-profit organization, established with the purpose of promoting trade and investment between Colombia and the State of Texas.The Colombia-Texas Chamber of Commerce will facilitate American and Colombian companies to expand their business in Colombia and Texas. The Chamber will do this by providing access to specialized market research, identifying business leads and reliable business partners. The Chamber will also provide access to high level business and governmental decision makers.The chamber will also provide a forum for the exchange on information related to Colombia and Texas and support and serve as a conduct for fostering of commercial and cultural ties.The chamber will support social progress in Colombia through partnership with recognized charitable institutions and programs.Colombia is becoming the fastest growing Oil and Gas market in Latin America. In October 2011, The United States ratified the Free Trade Agreement with Colombia, which becomes effective on May 15th 2012. As a consequence, the interest of US companies in Colombia is dramatically increasing. US companies are looking for efficient ways to entering and participating in the Colombian market.We are the biggest entity dedicated exclusively to facilitate trade in both directions between Colombia and Texas, even though the trade transactions were around US$11 Billion just between Houston and Colombia, growing at a 16% compound rate annually.
