Pros: astonishing protection using the avira engine (this is actually avira 8.2), easy to use and reliable since its from the makers of ad-aware and its cheap for a 1 year license
Cons: not as easy as avg and not as good looking as avast! 4.8

Version: Lavasoft Anti-Virus Helix 1.0
Pros: That's Avira rebrand, no more, no less. And Avira is very good AV software. Also, identical to Avira Premium, not to Avira Free, almost same price. Really exist only version 8.2.0.35.
Cons: Have no difference with Avira Premium, must be enriched with something specific.
Summary: If you want Avira Premium with blue skin, thats your choice. read more

Pros: Good protection engine, proven technology, light weight, effective, strong scanner.
Cons: If you use Avira AntiVir, which is the parent application (originally developed the scan engine) and use it for free rather than paying for this version.
Higher number of false positives.
Too many prompts, do not automatically clean upon detection.Summary: If it's Anti Virus application you are looking for, why pay for it, when you can get the same thing for free using Avira (Free Edition)? read more
