"Complete, easy to use, but lack of Anti-spam support"
Version: The Bat Professional Edition 3.0
Summary
I like everything in this e-mail client, I would prefer this over Eudora and MS outlook. I especially like the multiple e-mail account features. The only complaint: Though it comes with any anti-spam tool "bayesIT" we have to train in to recognise spam. And many thirt party anti-spam do not support The Bat!. The Bat should approach companies like Symantec and request them to include The Bat! also in their anti-spam program integration.

"Old features with different icons"
Version: The Bat Professional Edition 3.0
Summary
Using The Bat! for around 5 years, I was very disappointed about the long-awaited upgrade to Version 2 released by the end of 03. There were hardly any new, e-mail related features but existing long-time customers were forced to pay. Now, Version 3 presents more or less the same features that were already in Version 1 just with a new interface and a steep upgrade price. Ritlabs is obviously under the impression that their existing customers are stupid. Why should they pay nearly $80 (original plus upgrades) for something that is more or less old and Without Technical Support. Yes, as a paying customer I was never able to contact or receive support. At least, I do not consider an automated response referring me to a peer-to-peer forum as support. This is soemthing I would expect and accept when using freeware.
If you don't believe me, call or contact support by email.
